Kent is a geologist with thirteen years of experience working with non conventional resources, mostly on shale reservoirs. He began his career with Gulf Oil in Oklahoma City in 1980 after graduating with a Masters degree from Oklahoma State. He moved to Denver in 1985 with the purchase of Gulf by Chevron. In 1993, following assignments in New Orleans and the Wyoming thrust belt, he was assigned to Chevron's newly-formed Non Conventional Gas Team. Kent went to work on the Barnett Shale for Mitchell Energy in early 1998. Since the purchase of Mitchell by Devon in 2002, Kent has worked as an independent geologist.
George is a geologist with over 30 years of experience. He graduated with a Masters degree from the Univ. of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1972 and started working for Texaco in Midland, Texas on their Morrow Sandstone play in SE New Mexico. He moved to Chicago to work for Amoco International on their Trinidad and Philippine concessions and then with Amoco Prod. in Denver in the Williston Basin. In 1982 he went to work for Mitchell Energy in the Piceance Basin and then moved to The Woodlands in 1992 where he worked in North Texas on the Barnett Shale and in East Texas on the Bossier Sandstone. Since the purchase of Mitchell by Devon Energy in 2002, George has been and independent geologist.
Lee is a petrophysical consultant (Utley Petrophysics) and the Houston representative for Petroleum Software Technologies, serving as project manager for petrophysical projects as well as providing technical support for PST’s suite of resistivity and SP modeling software and neural network software. Lee’s prior experience includes ten years as logging engineer/analyst with Halliburton and five years as petrophysical engineer with Mitchell Energy. In addition to other duties, he served as Mitchell’s primary petrophysicist in the Barnett Shale and the Fort Worth Basin. He specializes in analysis of unconventional reservoirs, integrating all rock and log data to develop petrophysical solutions. He has a Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.
